An outlier refers to a person that differs from all other members of a particular group…

Someone differing from the rest of the society,

tries to break free,

from the expectations that over the years have become chains over their body

they feel a sense of loneliness despite being part of a crowded bunch,

emptiness despite having a task to fulfill,

uncertainty despite the crystal-clear life path paved in front them,

sadness despite a thousand words of compliments…

sometimes a person feels as if their life path was never a choice of their own,

but a decision made by the surrounding environment.

that decision was made as early as the moment they were born,

unshakable like the bricks of the Great Wall.

maybe they are,

a piece of brick on a mighty wall,

a screw of a well-oiled machine,

a single component of an impressively fast train…

as important as it might seem,

as dispensable as it might be.

or maybe,

they want to be something else,

a sound of noise over a harmonious sonority,

an obnoxiously never-ending guitar out of catharsis,

a screaming saxophone,

a hoarse trombone,

a hammering piano,

a liberating drum of crazy rhythms,

over a regular heartbeat gradually pounding harder and faster!

We become outliers,

deviating from the crystal-clear and the unshakable,

feeling as alive and certain as ever can be.
